The Structural Impact of Renewable Portfolio Standards and Feed-In-Tariffs on Electricity Markets

Globally, renewable electricity generation capacity has tripled over the last five years driven by multiple government support schemes such as renewable portfolio standards and feed-in-tariffs. In our research, we investigate the impact of these support schemes on the three main goals of electricity policies: security of supply, cost efficiency and sustainability.
